How to delete a WordPress theme
How to delete a WordPress theme is an article that outlines a step by step method to delete your WordPress theme at the backend of your website.
I started with zero knowledge in web design, but I had the passion to create something for my community which can be on the internet forever. So I started learning WordPress tutorials from youtube.
I installed a lot of free themes just to experiment with WordPress and I found it difficult to delete them. Tried so many searches online but proved futile.
After browsing through the backend of my website for several months, I found out how to delete the themes I experimented with and of course, I don’t need them now.
Below is a step by step method I used to delete several WordPress themes I experimented with when learning website design.
Log into the backend of your website by adding “/wp-admin” to your website address in the browser tab. e.g. www.example.com/wp-admin
Enter your Login details to get to the backend of your website.
Go to your Dashboard after login and click on Appearance.
You will automatically be directed to the Themes panel where all your installed themes are displayed. If not redirected, just click on Themes under the Appearance tab.
Click on the theme you want to delete.
Finally, a notification will appear on top of the page for deleting confirmation.
Click on OK.
You are good to go now. You have successfully deleted a WordPress theme from the backend of your website.
